		<description>Ha Ha.

I Love Jennie. She gave me a nudge to say I'd mixed a few facts up (I was tired when I posted &amp; she had such a long &amp; prestigious career 'behind the scenes' thus far I simply merged too much info in one spasm) &amp; you'd get a nudge from her label to put a few things straight. There is a definitely a Swedish Grammy for something - but now I forget entirely.

Still,

She's excellent &amp; a real sweetheart.

Thanks for giving her blogspace.

		<description>helena-
thank you for posting the information. As you will see, I didn't post any of the information that you say is incorrect. I would appreciate it if you would leave comments that are only pertinent to my post as opposed to a blanket-comment for all posts on Jennie. Cheers!

		<description>Well...

...as Jennie's employee at How Sweet the Sound, she (or rather her press agent) has asked me to correct some of the very enthusiastic facts in the comment above. Much as she loves being blogged about, and lied about for that matter, she would like the facts to be somewhat correct.

Yes; she is a popular choice as a tour and studio musician over here. She has worked and toured with some of our greatest artists and her skills are widely acclaimed. She HAS worked with Tomas Di Leva, Kristoffer Åström, Isolation Years and Andreas Johnson among others. She has NOT worked with Jens Lekman (but they both played at the same live show sent on swedish national radio) nor Loney, Dear (but yes, they are friends).

"In this life to live" has been her most played single so far and YES; it was used as one of the theme songs in a danish drama series that has been broadcasted throughout all the nordic countries, but NO; it has not been used in an advert (that was a song by Heed, an old band Jennie was a member of. Do not mix old Heed up with new Heed, a swedish rock/metal band that didn't have the decency to check that the name was already taken), and NO, she has not won a grammy for it either.

YES; she turned down a number of record companies in order to start her own label. And YES; her album "Lights" is fantastic (if I'm allowed to say that) and YES; she is a real treat as a performing artist.

And with that, I'm joining in the choir of Ms. Hope Eternal and 1/2 of D.C. and sing to thee: visit her on
http://www.myspace.com/jennieabrahamson
drop a line and say hi. Or visit us at the How Sweet-page, linked here under or above.

Much love,

		<description>Finally!

Jennie has finally been blogged! Sweet relief.

We have been pushing Jennie for the last 2years &amp; for some Godknows reason no one has ever picked her up in the wave of other Swedish acts peppering the blogosphere.

&lt;i&gt;Lights&lt;/i&gt; is a fantastic album. As good as it is, though, her non-electronica based stuff is superb. Just amazing - &amp; live she is extraordinary; her voice is a divine cross between Tammy Wynette &amp; If, like we, anyone has been following her career over the last two years you'd have heard the demos of most of the tracks appearing on her myspace page &amp; know that one of her many demos for 'In This Life To Live' was chosen for one of the longest running adverts in Swedish history, the same song was used as the title track for a TV soap &amp; also appeared in a few US soaps. She has won the Swedish version of the Grammies for the same song &amp; has been live &amp; studio backing multi-instrumentalist &amp; vocalist for the likes of Jens Lekman; Lonely, Dear; Isolation Years; &amp;, A Beautiful Friend, amongst many others. She's pretty much the first choice for session musician in them there parts.

When touting for a recording contract for her debut solo effort she actually turned down Sony in favour of setting up her own company, How Sweet The Sound, to record &amp; release the record (as well as other bands) just as she wanted to.

Jennie is a darling lovely lady &amp; big things are promised on the basis of her career thus far. Get out buy the record people, go see her live, drop her a line &amp; say hi.

Lecture over ;o)
