Good point Joel. Even Of Montreal has faced that challenge with their Outback Steakhouse commercials. Part of me just says that they deserve to sell out and make more money than they would otherwise. Part of me also says that they could've done it by doing something other than getting "Let's go Outback Tonight / where we can celebrate mother's day" or whatever it is that they sing.

Great post, I totally agree with you. The Odd Couple was an ok but not that good of a sequel. The thing is Danger Mouse. He is so good on coming up with new ideas when it comes to new artists he works with(MF DOOM, GEMINI, GORILLAZ, CEE-LO, ETC) as far as creating a mood and a sound. I dont think he is good at doing part 2 on any project. Dont get me wrong, I am not saying he cannot do it though I think his mind works like an artist of the older days, every project is always new with a new statement. The Odd Couple was a promised cash box, like my cousin said " everyone sells out eventually".
