Mike-
Couple of things.
1) The word is 'sanctify'.
2) I think I know what blogwank means, but I'm also pretty sure that that's a made-up word. Like 'sactify'.
3) Why did you capitalize 'SOUNDS' and then 'LIKE'--it makes the sentence confusing. It READS like proper post commenting, but it's (notice the apostrophe, sir) more like stream of consciousness (notice that the term is 'consciousness').
4) Thanks for reading.

"Like many of the great British bands that have preceded them, Doves have an ability to sanctify both the faster-paced and the more downtempo songs of theirs, giving a genuine dynamism that goes deeper than just the sheen of a granny smith."

Gibberish. "sactify"???... "deeper dynamism"?

Very poor writing. It SOUNDS good to you, it sounds LIKE proper music journalism. But its more like a stream of conscious, i.e. gibberish.
I love Doves and they deserve better than this blogwank.
